About the 4th Street | Prater Way History Project
The 4th Street | Prater Way History Project was initiated by the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County (RTC) in 2011 to research the history and culture of the 4th Street | Prater Way corridor and collaborate with the community to tell its story.
Other project components include historical displays at RTC 4TH STREET STATION and RTC CENTENNIAL PLAZA, digital tours for the Reno Historical website and smart phone app and Sparks NV Historic Tours app, and designs for historically themed bus shelters to be constructed along the corridor.
Major Project Partners: Nevada Humanities, the Nevada Historical Society, the Special Collections Department, UNR Libraries, the Sparks Museum & Cultural Center, the Historic Reno Preservation Society, and Reno Historical.
